1. What is it like to wake up every morning and pretend that you aren’t dying?
Well, I think every morning, that’s how I look at it. I didn’t die overnight, I’m not dead at that moment. So I wake up every morning happy that I woke up. Happy that I can continue on with my day.2. Do you believe in the death penalty? What if someone murdered your mother in cold blood? What if someone murdered a stranger’s mother, but saved your life the month before?
My goodness!! I wasn’t too sure what I bargained for answering these questions. But, I have to say, I’m going to think a lot about this one.3. If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?
My gut response, depending on the situation, depends on if a death-penalty is deserved. If a person killed someone else’s family, and saved me the next day – doesn’t matter. The person still killed someone. So, yeah, not right. If a person killed someone in self-defence, I don’t believe they deserve the death penalty. I view each “murder” as a separate case. Hard to have a blanket yes/no answer to this question.
They would be my friend forever. I think it takes a very special person to really talk to me like I *need* it. If someone takes the time to know me that well, then they are my friend forever. They take that risk to say the things that I think/feel. It means a lot to have someone like that in my life.4. Would you rather be rich and paralyzed from the waist down or poor and able bodied?
GREAT Question to ask a person who works in nursing! And, not just normal nursing, but long term care nursing! I know what enough money can get a person who’s disabled. I know that with the technologies of today, a person who is paralyzed from the waist down can have an amazing life … AMAZING now days. SO I’m not too sure if this question would be something of the “now generation” to ask.5. What’s the most expensive gift you have ever received? Is it the best gift you have ever received?
I think my trip to Hawaii with George. And it was one of the BEST I received. I was blindsided by the love and generosity and thoughtfulness of hubs. The gift was perfect. I had the BEST time with him. 6. When was the last time you lied? Is it possible to lie without saying anything at all?
Today – to a sweet little old lady who was yelling at me. So I lied to her to get her to stop. It worked, and I would do it again and again to help her stay calm. And yes, you can lie with a simple look, smile or just by walking away. It’s done.7. Stealing is immoral, right? But what if stealing was the only way to feed a starving child?
Interesting question………I think there’s a bigger issue if someone is starving. Society is failing that person. So, in a way, their life is being stolen from them. Would that then not make it “right” for them to steal from “others” to live?8. If I gave you $20, what percentage would you – really – save? If I gave you $200,000, what percentage would you save? Should there be a difference?
But, then again, now days, there is enough “help” out there for people who truly seek it and want it, that we shouldn’t need to steal. VERY hard one to answer.
I would spend the $20 on something happy The $200,000 would pay my bills – would in term, would allow me to spend it on something happy! So, the difference in the long run isn’t there 9. If someone could tell you the exact day and time that you are going to die, would you want them to tell you?
Nope – I want to live. Take each day as it comes. If I do something “wrong” in a day, then so be it. I die knowing that. I rather not know the date ……….10. If you found out you were going to die today, would you have any regrets? Would you be happy with the way you spent the last 24 hours of your life?
I have no regrets ……. Everything done in my life happened for a reason – good or bad. I can’t change what’s happened.
